Missing baby case in California takes new turn as authorities confirmed that the mother stopped cooperating with police following inconsistent statements about infant's disappearance

Emmanuel Haro was reported missing on Thursday after someone attacked his mother outside of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in the 34500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, according to the family. Mother Rebecca Haro said she was changing her baby's diaper when someone punched her. When she came to, she ran into the sporting goods store and called 911.

After the missing baby's mother was "confronted with inconsistencies in her initial statement ," police say she "declined to continue with the interview" -- as her husband's criminal background added even more complications.
