Two members of Congress are calling out Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and General Mills over shrinkflation – reducing the size of their products, but not the prices – and price-gouging consumers while avoiding corporate taxes.

Two Democratic lawmakers are demanding some of the biggest food and beverage companies in the U.S. stop engaging in shrinkflation. The three companies listed: PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and General Mills.

Seven months after Cookie Monster decried shrinkflation on X, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.) are probing cereal, beverage and snack makers about the practice of shrinking package sizes while keeping prices the same.
