WeightWatchers said on Tuesday it would offer a compounded version of Novo Nordisk's popular obesity drug Wegovy as part of its weight-management programs, sending its shares nearly 47% higher to an over two-month closing high.

WW International ( NASDAQ: WW ), more commonly known as WeightWatchers, will now offer compounded semaglutide to its WeightWatchers Clinic members, expanding the accessibility of popular weight loss medications to its members at a more affordable price.

Novo Nordisk's weight loss drug Wegovy will be available in France from Tuesday. The drug will require a prescription and will not be covered by social security. The main molecule in the medication is also found in the diabetes drug Ozempic which many celebrities have admitted to using to lose weight.
