The celebration takes place Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Castle Theater. A man from Mexico in the U.S. illegally since 2011 is facing a federal criminal charge after he was arrested Sept. 21 on suspicion of drunken driving on Maui.
According to the Maui Police Department, a 21-year-old woman was driving west on Holopuni Road in a white 1998 Toyota 4-Runner when she lost control on a left bend in the roadway. The vehicle crossed the centerline, then overcorrected in an attempt to return to the westbound lane.
