Former Ukraine aid critics now back Trump's strategy requiring European funding for weapons to Kyiv after the president pivoted his frustration from Zelenskyy to Putin.

President Trump announced the U.S. will send weapons to Ukraine, which will be distributed and paid for by NATO allies. Trump said the effort will pressure Russian President Putin to make a peace deal,

The president said in a meeting with NATO’s leader that Kyiv will have new weapons and air defenses within days under the agreement.
