On Tuesday, Bruins president Cam Neely alluded to the team offering Swayman a $64 million contract only for the goaltender's agent to refute that claim a few hours later .

Jeremy Swayman's contract stalemate with the Bruins ended Sunday morning when he agreed to an eight-year extension with Boston. The goalie is honored to be a core piece of Boston hockey and said he'll be even more motivated than before to win Stanley Cups with the Bruins.
