CME Group Inc. is ready to break into the sports-prediction market if its new partner FanDuel chooses, building on the exchange operator’s ambitions to reach a broader audience.

CME Group, the biggest futures exchange in the U.S., has teamed with the sports-wagering platform FanDuel to let users bet on the outcome of market-related events.

CME Group (NASDAQ:CME) is teaming up with FanDuel (DUEL), part of Flutter Entertainment (FLUT), to develop new fully funded, event-based contracts, the companies said on Wednesday, expanding access to financial markets for FanDuel customers.
