KALAMAZOO, MI — Police have identified a gun-carrying 60-year-old man who was shot and killed by officers during a confrontation with police, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety reports. Timothy Kurt Holden, 60, was pronounced dead at a hospital after the incident at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, police said.

Officers said Timothy Kurt Holden, 60, warned the woman that if she did not respond to him, there would be a "tragedy."

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety released the name of the man who was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Kalamazoo on Tuesday.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo Public Safety has identified the suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting on Oct. 8. 60-year-old Timothy Kurt Holden had an extensive history of violent offenses, according to officials. KDPS officers initially were dispatched at around 10 a.m. Oct. 8 to a local hospital for a report of a harassment complaint.
