Colorado’s West Nile season started early this year, with mosquitoes testing positive for the virus in Denver, Boulder and Weld counties.

On Friday evening, the Allegheny County Health Department announced that West Nile Virus had been found in mosquito samples across six Pittsburgh neighborhoods.

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — Health department officials in Adams County said two people have confirmed cases of West Nile Virus. The people contracted the virus in late June, the Adams County Health Department said in a release. The health department did not disclose if the people infected had or have symptoms, or if they had to be hospitalized.
