SKIING Mikaela Shiffrin powers through tricky course to win the slalom at the World Cup finals By Pat Graham Associated Press,Updated March 27, 2025, 6:07 p.m.
Shiffrin smoothly navigated a bumpy and rut-filled course to easily win the women's slalom Thursday at the World Cup finals. No playing it safe for the American ski racing standout, either.
American alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin was stretchered off the course following a crash while competing in the annual Alpine Skiing FIS World Cup 2024/25.
Croatian ski racer Zrinka Ljutic was 10th in Thursday's race — good enough to put the finishing touches on capturing the season-long slalom title.
