The UFC's best pipeline for talent is back, as "Dana White's Contender Series" returned for Season 9 on Aug. 12. American welterweight Ty Miller earned the first contract on the season after his unanimous decision win over Jimmy Drago.

At the conclusion of the event, UFC CEO Dana White awarded contracts to all five winners. As a fun note, White said Cam Rowston would be fighting on the UFC Perth event, which takes place on Sept. 27, making for the 17th fight on the card.

Week 2 will begin Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. Tommy Cuozzi (145.5) vs. Ramiro Jimenez (144.5) Round 1 Herb Dean will serve as the referee for this matchup of undefeated featherweights. Jimenez rocks Cuozzi right away.
