It's early, but mosquitoes with West Nile virus have already been detected in Massachusetts. The Department of Public Health announced June 17 that mosquitos trapped in Shrewsbury tested positive for the virus.

Health officials note mid-June detection is earlier than typical, but no human cases have been reported yet in Massachusetts.
