Two $50,000 Powerball tickets were sold in Pennsylvania as the jackpot grows, reaching $700 million ahead of Saturday’s drawing. One of the $50,000 tickets matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball in the standard drawing.
The largest multi-state lottery drawing of 2025 takes place Monday night as the Powerball jackpot has surpassed the $600 million mark. The estimated grand prize for the drawing on Aug. 18, is worth $605 million with a cash option of $273.4 million.
While nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the most recent drawing, someone who bought a ticket in the Palmetto State was one number away from collecting a $565 million jackpot, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
Four third-prize Powerball lottery tickets were sold in New Jersey on Saturday — two worth $100,000 and two worth $50,000. The $100,000 tickets were purchased at the Exxon gas station on Naughtright Road in Hackettstown, Warren County and Flavor Mart & More on Garden Street in Carlstadt, Bergen County, lottery officials said.
