Judge Frank Caprio, a former judge for the Providence Municipal Court, died following a bout with pancreatic cancer, according to a statement posted to social media.

A longtime municipal judge, he became a social media star for “Caught in Providence,” which viewers said showed his compassion in the courtroom.
