New addition Guerschon Yabusele is focused on learning and fitting in with the Philadelphia 76ers in the preseason.

CAMDEN, N.J. — By the end of the men’s basketball gold medal game at the Paris Olympics, everyone knew Guerschon Yabusele’s name. The internet certainly did, his posterizing dunk of LeBron James ricocheting across social media and blowing up his phone. And, the 28-year-old suspects, opening a few doors on the other side of the Atlantic.

Intent to showcase his skills and help new teammates, the Sixers power forward also has a set of goals he hopes to live up to.

One of those additions is Guerschon Yabusele who the Sixers brought in after a solid Olympic run for France. After a stint with the Boston Celtics, he went back overseas and played for Real Madrid before making a statement in the Olympics to earn another chance at the NBA.

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS -- The second day of the Sixers' 2024 training camp in The Bahamas came and went Wednesday, with rookie guard Jared McCain supposedly standing out in his second official NBA practice. "His toughness level is up there, man," Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said.

The Philadelphia 76ers brought in Guerschon Yabusele late in free agency to give him another chance at the NBA. The versatile French forward was brought in on a minimum deal as the Sixers were looking to add depth to the roster.
