Lil Nas X opened up in February 2025 about the “difficult” past few years he’s had before he was arrested on allegations of assaulting a police officer on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Lil Nas X will remain behind bars over the weekend until his bail hearing next week for alleged battery on a peace officer. TMZ reports that he’ll have to go before a judge to get his bail set, which won’t happen until Monday,

Representatives for the LAPD told THR Friday that Lil Nas X will remain in custody through the weekend. “The arrestee (Hill) cannot be cited out,” they wrote in an email. “It is mandatory that he appear before a judge before he is released. This will happen on Monday.”

Somefans aren’t aware that the ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker started his career as a social media creator before becoming one of hip-hop’s biggest names.
