NATO plans to gather countries that own Patriot missile systems to support Ukraine. The meeting is expected to take place next week, according to a Reuters journalist, Clauda Tanios. Allied nations are preparing for a key meeting focused on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense.

On Thursday, Trump announced that he “just made a deal” to make that happen, telling NBC News that the U.S. will be “sending weapons to NATO, and NATO is paying for those weapons 100% … then NATO is going to be giving those weapons [to Ukraine].”

More than three years into the war, drones are now the deadliest threat to both Ukrainian and Russian forces. Initially used to target large armored units, drones now focus on small, mobile squads. This leaves individual soldiers exposed and vulnerable.
